Sunday Night Football, week 16. The 2015 NFL regular season is rapidly drawing to a close. Tonight we have a matchup between the New York Giants and the Minnesota Vikings. The Giants travel to Minnesota having already been eliminated from playoff contention a day earlier by Washington winning against the Eagles. They also will be without their best player, wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr., as he was suspended for this game by the NFL after last week's meltdown against the Panthers' great cornerback Josh Norman.
The Vikings come into the game needing just one more win in their last two games to sew up a playoff spot. At home, against a Giants' team with nothing to play for and missing their only elite weapon on offense, this would appear to be the ideal opportunity for the Vikings. With a very good defense, an emerging young quarterback, and a legendary running back, the Vikings should have all they need to secure the win tonight. Nonetheless, there's a reason they play the games, and a Giants upset wouldn't be the first time an also ran played spoiler to a playoff contender late in the year.
