NFL Pro Bowlers were announced tonight, and three Jets made the game. They are Muhammad Wilkerson, Darrelle Revis, and Brandon Marshall.
This is Wilkerson's first selection. It is richly deserved. He lines up all over the place for the Jets. He constantly wins his assignments. He is also fifth in the NFL with 12 sacks.
This is Revis' seventh Pro Bowl. In the veteran cornerback's first year back with the Jets, he has anchored a rebuilt secondary that has shown vast improvement from the mess of a season ago. Revis' stats at cornerback are excellent, which is more impressive considering how frequently he draws the other team's top guy and how he frequently is not given help.
This is Marshall's sixth Pro Bowl, and the Jets are the fourth different team he has earned a spot with. Marshall has been the game-changing player this offense has lacked since forever. He is tied for sixth in the league in catches, is fifth in receiving yards, and is tied for fifth with 11 receiving touchdowns.
I think these are the three best players on the team and the three guys who deserve to go.
