The Jets received some positive news yesterday when it was revealed that David Harris's x-rays came back negative. Meaning there was no serious damage to his back. He is listed as day-to-day, and Bowles confirmed that he would not require any further MRI's.
David Harris left the Jets victory against the Dallas Cowboys in the first quarter following a back injury that was later diagnosed as a back contusion. Harris is enjoying a little bit of a renaissance with the Jets this year, and his communication will be vital this weekend as the Jets hope to keep their playoff chances alive with a victory over the rival Patriots.
In the absence of Harris, Erin Henderson and Jamari Lattimore saw more time on the field. Demario Davis also saw extended time after seeing his snaps drop dramatically in the last few weeks. The hope is that Harris can play this weekend, with Davis and Henderson splitting reps, like they've done recently.
Harris is in the first year of a 3 year contract extension that he signed with the Jets in the off-season. Harris has recorded 88 tackles, 2.5 sacks and 2 forced fumbles so far in 2015.
