Jets vs. Cowboys Final Score: Jets Win 19-16

Kevin Jairaj-USA TODAY Sports

It was not exactly the best game the Jets played this season, but it was good enough. Gang Green moved to 9-5 tonight with a 19-16 win over the Cowboys in Dallas.

The Jets overcame a missed extra point and a missed field goal as Randy Bullock connected from 40 yards out in the final minute to provide the winning margin. Ryan Fitzpatrick threw a touchdown pass earlier in the fourth quarter to Eric Decker to give the Jets a 16-13 lead. After the Cowboys put together a tying field goal drive, Fitzpatrick connected with Kenbrell Thompkins on a 43 yard pass to help set Bullock up for the winning kick.

I'd love to tell you the Jets are going to go out and dominate their opponent every week. That isn't how it works. Teams play bad games. Sometimes it is about grinding it out against an inferior opponent.

While this was not a perfect game, and there are plenty of valid gripes, this was a win. More than that, it guarantees the Jets will end 2015 with a winning record. This is the first Jets winning season in five years. It is a very nice accomplishment for Coach Bowles in his first year. A big game against New England awaits next weekend.

Celebrate below. The official recap will be up later as we go deep into the night.
