The Jets won their third straight game today. New York is now 8-5 on the season after a 30-8 win over the Tennessee Ttians.
The Jets were coming off a big divisional win. This game was against a bad team with an inexperienced quarterback. A road game on a short week follows with a pair of divisional games to close out the regular season after that. This had the classic makings of a trap game, but the Jets came out and dominated from the start. A 14 play touchdown drive on the first series of the game set the tone and gave the Jets a lead that would last for the rest of the game. The defense did not allow the Titans to run a play from Jets territory until the second half. Tennessee's only points came on a gadget play where somebody fell down.
This was an almost flawless effort, the kind a good team shows in this situation. This is the kind of game a team would play if last week's win really was a turning point.
Now nobody be that guy who says the Jets were 8-5 in 2011 and lost three in a row. These are two very different teams and two very different situations.
Celebrate below. The official recap will be up later.
