Red-hot Cardinals looking to clinch playoff spot

Jeff Curry-USA TODAY Sports

The Minnesota Vikings are having an impressive season overall, even with their recent slide, and have ridden their defense and future Hall-of-Famer Adrian Peterson to a strong 8-4 record. This has them tied atop the NFC North with the Green Bay Packers. Today, though, the odds are not in their favour as they travel to the home of perhaps the hottest team in football.

The 10-2 Arizona Cardinals trail the undefeated Carolina Panthers for top seed in the conference, but may very well be the Superbowl favourites this season with their balanced dominance on both sides of the ball. Win today and the Cardinals clinch a playoff spot, and move closer to the NFC West crown.

The Cardinals go into this one as clear favourites, especially with key injuries on the Vikings defense. Still, the Vikings have done well this season despite somewhat of an underdog status.
