I.K. Enemkpali is now on the Bills. The reason for that was the punch he threw in the locker room in training camp that broke Jets quarterback Geno Smith's jaw. Enemkpali will play his first game against his former team Thursday night, and Bills head coach Rex Ryan has announced he will be a captain.

This is likely part motivation for the player, part head game for the opponent, and part Rex Ryan's need to get attention.
Ultimately it is a low class move that at least on some level glorifies Enemkpali's attack.
We have seen plenty of gambits like this from Rex Ryan in the past. Many backfired on him. The best way to get back at him is to beat him on the field.
