Jets Kicker Nick Folk Won't Play This Thursday

New, comments

The Jets are in the market for a kicker

Kyle Terada-USA TODAY Sports

Jets kicker Nick Folk was limited to holding duties in New York's victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars following a quad injury suffered in the warm-up.

Jets punter Ryan Quigley handled extra point duty, and luckily didn't have to kick any field goals. Bowles commented that had it been a mid/long distance situation, the Jets would have likely gone for it on 4th down instead of attempting the field goal.

According to league sources who informed ESPN's Adam Caplan of the situation, the Jets will be looking for another kicker to fill in this Thursday. Nick Folk has reportedly suffered a grade 1 quad tear.

There are a few kickers on the wire at the moment, none of them are that appealing. You have former Jets kicker Jay Feely, along with Josh Scobee, Shayne Graham and Billy Cundiff. However you expect the Jets to act quickly with the game Thursday.
