What happened this week?

The Patriots defeated Washington in Foxborough by a 27-10 score. Tom Brady threw for 299 yards and 2 touchdowns. LeGarrette Bount added 129 rushing yards and a touchdown. The win did come at a cost, however. Sebastian Vollmer suffered a concussion, adding to New England's list of injuries on the offensive line. Perhaps even more significant, running back Dion Lewis suffered a knee injury.

The Bills defeated the Dolphins 33-17 in Orchard Park. Tyrod Taylor was only asked to throw 12 times, but he completed 11 of them for 181 yards and a touchdown. Sammy Watkins caught 8 of those passes for 168 yards and a touchdown. LeSean McCoy and Karlos Williams both went over 100 yards on the ground for Buffalo. Dan Campbell's hot start as Dolphins interim coach is over.

What comes next?

The Patriots visit their nemesis, the Giants, on Sunday at 4:25.

The Bills face the Jets in Rex Ryan's return to the Meadowlands Thursday at 8:25.

The Dolphins visit the Eagles Sunday at 1:00.
