Jets vs. Jaguars Second Half Thread

New, comments
Vincent Carchietta-USA TODAY Sports

The Jets lead the Jaguars 14-10 at the half. The end of the first half soured an otherwise well played two quarters.

Leading 14-3, the Jets got the ball on their own 15 with 1:30 left in the half and all three timeouts. Instead of attacking, the Jets ran the ball three times, allowing Jacksonville another shot with the ball. A bad punt later, Antonio Cromartie was beaten on a double move for a 30 yard touchdown by Allen Hurns. What looked like a comfortable lead has turned into a tight game.

As we go to the second half, a pair of injuries have to leave the Jets concerned. Nick Mangold left in the second quarter. You might remember that Mangold missed last week's game with a neck injury. Nick Folk also has not kicked in this game. He suffered an injury at some point before the game. Ryan Quigley handled extra points and kickoffs. He made both extra point attempts, but Folk's absence could loom large in the second half.
