New York Jets Return Flight: Jacksonville Jaguars

New, comment
Bruce Kluckhohn-USA TODAY Sports

Both the Jets and the Jaguars achieved success across the pond in London, but who will be victorious at MetLife Stadium today? Interestingly, the Jaguars are 2-1 within the AFC East, having beaten the Bills and the Dolphins. Hopefully the Jets can make that 2-2.

The Jets only have one former Jaguar, Leger Douzable. In his 8 years in the league, Leger Douzable has been with 4 different teams, one of them being the Jacksonville Jaguars. He played with them in 2010 and 2011. By the end of his time with Jacksonville, he had 46 total tackles (solo and assisted) and 1 sack.

Although the Jaguars do not have any former Jets, they do have 5 familiar foes. Sergio Brown played for New England in 2010 and 2011. Now, he is the starting free safety for the Jaguars.

Jared Odrick played for Miami from 2010-2014. Other than his rookie season, he was a consistent player on the Dolphins defense. Over his 5 seasons, he accumulated 129 tackles, 16.5 sacks, 1 interception for 39 yards, and forced 3 fumbles. He is now a starting DE for the Jaguars.

Paul Posluszny played for Buffalo from 2007-2010. His second season with the Bills, he had his first career interception and his first sack recorded against the Jets. This Pro Bowl linebacker has accumulated 2 interceptions, 3 pass deflections, and 56 tackles so far this season with the Jaguars.

Tackle Sam Young played for Buffalo from 2011-2013, where he had minimal impact on the team. Now, he continues to have minimal impact as a backup on the Jaguars.

Last but not least, the Jaguars backup QB Chad Henne played for Miami in 2008-2011. He became the starting quarterback off an injury to ex-Jets Quarterback Chad Pennington in 2009. Against the Jets, Chad had two wins, a Monday Night Football victory in his second game as a starter and a 10-6 victory on an extremely rainy day in 2010. Now, he is the backup to Blake Bortles.
