The NFL trade deadline passed today without any additional major trades after the deal the Denver Broncos made yesterday to acquire Vernon Davis from San Francisco. The Broncos and Browns reportedly almost pulled off a deal that would have brought tackle Joe Thomas to Denver, but that deal fell through before the 4:00 deadline.
It was a quiet deadline for the Jets. There was only a small amount of chatter about potential trades.
Jets have been among teams sniffing around on pass rushers. It's a need for Atlanta, Arizona and Carolina among contenders, too

It does not, however, sound like anything got close to getting done. This is no surprise. Hopes of a blockbuster trade were probably not realistic. The Jets frankly do not have the cap space to add anybody with a contract of any substance. The roster is going to look largely the way it does now through 2016. Most big ticket additions will need to be through the Draft.
