Jets cornerback Marcus Williams and linebacker Calvin Pace were injured in today's victory over the Miami Dolphins. Both are day-to-day.
Bowles: Marcus Williams has a knee sprain, Calvin Pace has a strained abdomen. Both are day-to-day.— New York Jets (@nyjets) November 29, 2015
Williams has become an important player on the defense. He has developed into a quality backup. He had an interception early in today's game, which seemed to be when he suffered his injury. It looked like Darrin Walls got most of the snaps in his place.
Darrelle Revis missed today's game after the concussion he suffered last week. He is anything but a sure thing to be ready for the Giants next week. It sounds like he never got past the first stage of the concussion protocol this week. It is difficult to say when he will be ready. Walls started for the Jets a year ago. He was arguably the worst corner in football. Just look at all of the money the Jets spent to upgrade their cornerback group because giving any sort of role to Walls was deemed so unacceptable. Williams' status becomes important so it is good to hear his injury is not terribly serious.
