Jets vs. Dolphins Game Thread

Steve Flynn-USA TODAY Sports

The Jets host their annual game in the Meadowlands against the Dolphins today.

It feels like I have been writing this almost every week lately, but this is a big game against another Wild Card competitor. Unfortunately, the Jets have not risen to the occasion much over the past month and change. Fortunately, the AFC is mediocre, and this team still finds itself in the middle of the postseason chase, currently in a four way tie for the conference's final postseason berth. The Jets are going to have to start playing better, or they are going to find themselves on the outside looking in. The cushion built from the 4-1 start is gone. A loss today would drop the Jets under .500 for the first time all season.

A win would be a devastating blow to the Dolphins. They would fall 2 games behind the Jets and lose a head to head tiebreaker. It would mean new Jets coach Todd Bowles accomplished something in his first year that Rex Ryan never did in any of his six, a sweep of the Dolphins.
