To get this season back on track, we're going to need to be at full strength. Unfortunately we may have to wait another week for that as both Darrelle Revis and Nick Mangold missed practice Wednesday.
Nick Mangold had several stitches to a big cut to his right hand. He will only play on Sunday if he can show Bowles that he can snap the ball without any ill effects. Unfortunately Mangold wasn't able to practice at all today, let alone snap the ball. Bowles confirmed that Mangolds hand was still very swollen.
Darrelle Revis exited the game against Houston in the 3rd quarter Sunday with a concussion and has yet to practice this week. In fact, he was sent home today, as he wasn't up to sitting through team meetings. Players progress through the concussion protocol at different speeds and it may be that Revis is struggling at the moment. A concussion is not something you play around with, so it was 100% the right call to send him home.
It's still early in the week, and both still have an opportunity to play on Sunday, but the early signs are not good.
Bailey and Kellen Davis also didn't practise today.
