Report: Jets Tried Hard to Trade Coples

If this tweet is to be believed, the Jets repeatedly tried to get something for Quinton Coples over the past year.

It was well known around the league that the Jets had Quinton Coples on the trade block this offseason & during the season. No takers. #nyj

If true, it shows the rest of the league is not very high on Coples. A team would certainly be willing to part with a late round pick for a player it really thinks can help.

Coples will surely get another chance somewhere in the NFL. He probably has a decent shot to be claimed off waivers, but it doesn't seem like any team holds him in particularly high regard right now.
