Texans starting quarterback Brian Hoyer suffered a concussion in Houston's win over the Bengals on Monday.
Jason LaCanfora indicated this morning that Hoyer is unlikely to play.
Brian Hoyer not scheduled to practice today. Remains in concussion protocol. Texans unlikely to have him available on Sunday— Jason La Canfora (@JasonLaCanfora) November 18, 2015
If you read between the lines, Houston's actions today seem to indicate this is the case.
Brandon Weeden was claimed by the #Texans, source said— Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet) November 18, 2015
Why did the #Texans claim QB Brandon Weeden? I'm told Brian Hoyer (concussion) is likely out this Sunday. Expect TJ Yates to start.— Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet) November 18, 2015
Yates has not started a game since the 2011 Playoffs.
