Sunday's NFL action dropped the Jets out of Playoff position. Pittsburgh's victory over Oakland moved the Steelers to 6-4, one-half game ahead of both Buffalo and the Jets. Gang Green is tied with the Bills at 5-4, but Buffalo would win the tiebreaker due to their head-to-head victory Thursday in the Meadowlands. If the season ended today, the Jets would miss the postseason.
Other AFC action was not kind to the Jets either. Kansas City and Miami both won to move within a game of New York. The only piece of good news was the Vikings going to Oakland and defeating the Raiders. Oakland is now 4-5, one game behind the Jets.
