Jets vs. Raiders: 5 Bold Predictions

New, comments

Bolder and better

Brad Penner-USA TODAY Sports

So what's the best way to bounce back after a divisional loss? Probably winning the division and the #1 seed going into the playoffs, actually...But winning against a conference team is good too, yeah? So let's do that! Disclaimer:  A Bold Prediction is something that is neither probable nor impossible. Bold Predictions are not meant to be likely to happen, but they must be achievable. Predicting that Zac Stacy will run for 500 yards this week is not a Bold Prediction. Claiming that Brandon Marshall will have at least 1 reception is also not a Bold Prediction. Predicting that Ryan Fitzpatrick leading the NFL in passer rating this week, on the other hand, certainly qualifies (any week.) Bold Predictions are unlikely, but possible. Here are mine:

1) Ryan Fitzpatrick throws for 400 yards and 3 touchdowns.

2) The Jets defense causes 4 turnovers and scores a touchdown.

3) Eric Decker and Brandon Marshall both catch at least 1 touchdown record 100 yard games.

4) Chris Ivory rushes for under 100 yards, but over 50 yards after contact at over 5 yards per carry.

5) A tight end catches a ball. And it's a touchdown.

Bonus Prediction: Quinton Coples records a sack. Okay, okay, sorry. Too bold. Coples records a snap.

What about you?  What are your Bold Predictions for the Jets against the Raiders?
