Nick Mangold left Sunday's game late in the fourth quarter with a neck injury. The Jets got some good news today on Mangold's x-ray.
Bowles: X-rays on Mangold’s neck came back negative. Not as bad as initially thought. Dealing with soreness, Sunday status TBD.

It goes without saying that Mangold is one of the most important players on the team. More than that, he along with D'Brickashaw Ferguson are probably the two starters where the dropoff to backup would be steepest. Dakota Dozier replaced Mangold after he left the game. Dozier has never started a game in the NFL.
We will have to wait and see as the week progresses the likelihood of Nick suiting up Sunday against Oakland. It is worth noting that he has only missed three starts in a career that spans eight plus seasons, and one of them was last year's meaningless finale.
