Ferguson, Fitzpatrick, and Giacomini Haven't Missed a Snap

Timothy T. Ludwig-USA TODAY Sports

Let's take a look at snap totals for the Jets so far.

On offense, there are three players who have participated in every snap. They are D'Brickashaw Ferguson, Ryan Fitzpatrick, and Breno Giacomini. Nick Mangold, James Carpenter, and Brandon Marshall have also played over 95% of snaps for the Jets so far. After that due to injury and strategy, nobody else has participated in even 60%. That adds up since your quarterback and offensive line do not come off the field, and it is no surprise to see Marshall playing that many snaps.

It is a sign of the times in the NFL that fullback Tommy Bohanon has only seen just over a quarter of the snaps. Fullback has become a specialized position, not a full-time one.

As many have noted, Jeremy Kerley has seen even less snaps than Bohanon, the bulk of which came against the Eagles, when injuries to receivers forced him into the lineup. Kerley has become exclusively a depth piece and return guy.

Below are the full snap counts as compiled by the NFL Game Statistics and Information System.
