Sheldon Richardson's suspension has ended. That means he can be added to the acted roster. The Jets needed to clear a spot for him, though, so they waived rookie tight end Wes Saxton.

Saxton is an undrafted free agent out of South Alabama. He spent most of the season on the practice squad and was called up to the active roster before the Miami game due to Jeff Cumberland's concussion. Saxton saw 16 counts against the Dolphins in London last Sunday. The fact he is the guy the Jets chose to let go in favor of Richardson might indicate Cumberland will be ready for Washington this weekend.
The really exciting news is that Richardson is back. What might have already been the best defense in the NFL is adding a Pro Bowler.
