The New York Jets have announced that they will be interviewing Jon Robinson for the open general manager position. Robinson is currently the Director of Player Personnel for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Before that, he worked for the New England Patriots for twelve years as a scout. From 2009-2013, he worked as the Patriots' Director of College Scouting. During that time, they drafted Rob Gronkowski, Devin McCourty, Julian Edelman, Chandler Jones, and others.
The team has scheduled an interview w/ GM candidate Jon Robinson from the Bucs. Full list of candidates interviewed- http://t.co/8cWjgkmg2D

I find it interesting that the team announced Robinson before anyone else. They haven't done that for any other candidate. We've heard the team really likes Dan Quinn and was asking him about GM candidates that he'd like to work with; perhaps Robinson is one of those guys. My wild guess is that they have a wink/nod agreement with Quinn and are just making sure Robinson checks out. My guess is that they'll ink a deal with Robinson and then when Quinn's season ends, make his deal official. Just a guess though, no basis for it other than them not announcing anyone else and us knowing that they like Quinn/have asked him for GM advice.
