Wild Card Saturday Open Thread

Charles LeClaire-USA TODAY Sports

Today the NFL Playoffs start with a pair of Wild Card games.

The opener might be the least anticipated Playoff game in NFL history. The Cardinals, quarterbacked by Ryan Lindley, head to Charlotte to face the sub .500 Panthers. The Cardinals were the ultimate next man up team this season. They even seemed to be surviving the injury to Carson Palmer with the underwhelming Drew Stanton. Stanton's injury leading to Lindley taking over looks like a fridge too far.

In the nightcap, we have arguably the best rivalry in the NFL. The Ravens head to Heinz Field to take on the AFC North Champion Steelers. This is the first time in four years these teams have met in the postseason. These games are frequently thrilling and always intense. It should be great.

For whatever it's worth, I'll pick the Panthers and the Steelers to advance to the Divisional Round.

Enjoy the games.
