Pro Bowl Open Thread

Kyle Terada-USA TODAY Sports

Tonight we have the Pro Bowl. It is the NFL's take on an All-Star Game. It is also widely regarded as the worst All-Star Game among major sports. Why is this? We all have our own theories. Mine is the lack of emotion in the game. I think part of what makes football so great is that it is a game of emotion. When you put a bunch of players on the field in a game that means nothing, there is no emotion. Players just don't want to get hurt.

Nevertheless, the NFL continues to put this game on the field, and many will choose to watch.

If you are among those many, use this as an open thread to talk about the Pro Bowl and cheer Jets participants Nick Mangold and Sheldon Richardson.

Kickoff is scheduled for 8:00 PM Eastern in Glendale, Arizona. ESPN will be broadcasting this year's contest.
