Mike Maccagnan and Todd Bowles Introductory Press Conference Open Thread

Today the new general manager and head coach of the Jets, Mike Maccagnan and Todd Bowles, will be formally introduced at a press conference.

While we might get an interesting and useful nugget of information here or there, these things are usually dog and pony shows. No matter what team and no matter what sport, there are usually two things people say after these press conferences.

1. This new guy is great!

2. This new guy is the complete opposite of the old guy!

It is easy to talk about building a winning team. It is a lot tougher to actually do. What these two say today doesn't mean much. The only things that matter happen after this press conference.
