Terry Bradway and Jeff Bauer Officially Fired

I never thought this day would actually come. I thought Teflon Terry Bradway would outlast me. I was wrong:

I am extremely happy and very excited. It's a new era for the New York Jets. We have completely new coaching staff and completely new front office. Things are looking up for the Jets. That said, two men just lost their jobs today, so let's not go overboard with the celebrations.

Per source, Mike Maccagnan took the general manager job with people in mind, which is why they are being let go so quickly. He didn't think it fair to drag them out. Furthermore, while it is unclear if Gene Smith will eventually join the team, if he does so, it will be in neither Bradway's nor Bauer's position.
