Sheldon Richardson Replaces Gerald McCoy in Pro Bowl

Richardson predicted he'd make the Pro Bowl this year and when the teams were announced, he wasn't best pleased he was left out. He was on the reserve list, and due to injury he will now take part in the 2015 Pro Bowl.

Sheldon Richardson will be taking part in the Pro Bowl on January 25th following an injury to Tampa Bay Buccaneers defensive tackle Gerald McCoy. Sheldon is quickly becoming one of the premier players at his position, and while I don't respect or watch the Pro Bowl, it's a nice selection to have on his profile.

RIchardson finished the season with 8 sacks, 68 tackles and 1 forced fumble. He was also credited with 31 QB hurries and 14 QB hits. He grades out well against the run and the pass, and his pass rushing is obviously a strength for all to see. Combining size with excellent athleticism, Richardson is a tough match-up for anyone, and I can't wait to see what Todd Bowles does with him.

This is a little bit of personal recognition after a disappointing season. He joins Nick Mangold as the only other New York Jets player to be selected.

Congratulations to Sheldon. It was a deserved reward for his excellent season and probably the first of many to come.
