Oh no. This day was going so well.
As the Jets transform their front office, I continue to hear there is a strong chance ex-Jags GM Gene Smith has a considerable role w/them

Gene Smith is the former general manager of the Jacksonville Jaguars. He is a personnel man, and he was a disaster, to put it lightly. Terry Bradway once drafted a kicker in the second round of the NFL Draft. Smith drafted a punter in the third round. If we are replacing Bradway with Bradway Lite, I will be beside myself.
Maybe Smith is a Peter Principle kinda guy. I don't know. I do believe, however, that if he's hired in a Bradway-like role, we'll be in the same place we were for the past fourteen years.
