Here's an interesting bit. There was a report that the New York Jets would hire Arizona Cardinals linebacker coach Mike Caldwell as their defensive coordinator. There was also a report that they would hire Miami Dolphins defensive line coach Kacy Rodgers. That, now, seems more likely:

That tweet actually came from Rodgers' son. Unless Rodgers is moving laterally, it makes sense that he's coming here to be the defensive coordinator. Miami's defensive line, much like the Jets, has been one of their strengths. Rodgers worked with Todd Bowles when Bowles was with Miami as their defensive coordinator and interim head coach.
I think it's a good hire by Bowles if true, but obviously, much remains to be seen. Regardless, it seems likely we'll see him run Bowles' defense, not his own.
