It was a big weekend for the Jets in their searches for a new general manager and a head coach.
All signs point to Mike Maccagnan getting the general manager job. He was reportedly the only candidate who got a second interview, and by all accounts he did quite well. A contract could be signed ending this search as early as today.
On the coaching side, signs currently point to Seahawks defensive coordinator Dan Quinn. The Jets were reportedly set to offer him the job had the Panthers beaten Seattle Saturday night. Quinn is a hot commodity so it is not yet clear whether or not he would have accepted the offer. The picture could get even murkier still if Seattle wins the NFC Championship Game, further delaying by two weeks any team's ability to hire Quinn.
