The search for a general manager is over.
#Jets are expected to hire #Texans college scouting director Mike Maccagnan as the new GM, per source. No surprise, he’s been in town 3 days
— Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet) January 11, 2015
As Rapoport said, this isn't a particular surprise at this point. Maccagnan has been the heavy favorite for a few days. He is a former protegé of Charley Casserley, so Ron Wolf took the lead on interviewing him. Both he and Woody Johnson were extremely impressed with Maccagnan after two interviews and dinner. Here are two articles on Macaggnan.
Now it's on to the head coach search. Who will it be? The favorite is Dan Quinn, but the New York Jets may have to wait a few weeks. What do you think the team should do?
