Jets vs. Raiders 2014: TV schedule, game time, and more

Ed Mulholland-USA TODAY Sports

In the 2014 NFL season FOX will carry games where an NFC team plays on the road. CBS will carry games where an AFC team plays on the road. Each week one of the two networks will carry games in both the early and late afternoon timeslots. The other network will carry only one game. The exception is Week 17 in which both networks have doubleheaders. In Week 1 FOX has the doubleheader and CBS will carry one game, which will be in the early slot for the entire country due to its coverage of the US Open tennis tournament.

New York loses out, however, this week. When a local team plays at home no other game may be shown at the same time. Because the Jets play at home on CBS early, FOX cannot show an early game.

If you live in the New York area, you will see:

Raiders at Jets early on CBS

49ers at Cowboys late on FOX

The entire nation will see Colts at Broncos tonight on NBC, Giants at Lions tomorrow on ESPN, and Chargers at Cardinals tomorrow on ESPN.

Since CBS is showing all of its games in the early slot, there aren't many people who will get the Jets. It is limited to the North and Central parts of New Jersey, New York State aside from the Northeast tip bordering Vermont and Rochester, Southeast Connecticut, the far West tip of Massachusetts, the Southwest tip of Vermont, all of California, the Southwest tip of Arizona, Western Nevada, and Southwest Oregon.
