GGN Thread About Nothing #107: The Awakening

Welcome, all you fantastic fabulous fishes of the interwebs, to the one and only GGN Thread About Nothing #107. Code-name "The Awakening."

Tomorrow marks the dawn of a new NFL season. You may be thinking to yourself: "So what? Another NFL season means another year, and another year means you're closer to retirement death." But I tell you, my beautiful brethren of the green and white, that this season will be like no other before.

This season, you will see the beginning of a new era. An era where we can forget Joe Willie's nightlife triumphs of 50 years ago. (It's odd that we still talk about them, quite frankly.) An era where we can disassociate ourselves from ex-coaches like Kotite, Belichick, and Parcells. An era like no other. My friends, we are going to win the Super Bowl. A beautiful green monster that has been growing in the hearts of Jets fans nation-wide will suddenly Awaken and burst forth, taking the league by storm and leaving nothing for the other teams but misery and humiliation. 19-0 is my modest prediction, but I expect nothing less than life-changing epicness.

The beast Awakens this Sunday. Glories and riches await. Be there.

One of the definitions of the word "transcendent" is "exceeding or surpassing ordinary limits." We, as Jets fans, transcend quite a bit. However, if you want to be around GGN for the glorious Awakening and gloat with your brethren, you must abide by the rules of our swarmy TAN. Sorry.

1) No politics, no personal attacks, no excessive swearing, no porn, no graphic violence/gore. Period.

2) The mods have ultimate, mind boggling authority. Sportsfan86 and Smackdad are the TAN mods. If they say drop it, let it go. Same goes for any other mod/editor. Don't argue with them. They have final say, period.

3) If a topic is borderline we will warn you. Do not argue. Accept it and move on.

4) If there is a problem email Sportsfan86 at sp0rtsfan86@optonline.net or Smackdad at macgregorwells@yahoo.com. They'll try to work something out so we don't have issues. They promise you will remain anonymous.

Did you actually read the rules? Thought not. :)

And now, here is Santana with "Black Magic Woman." I think it's a shame that Santana will be remembered for "Evil Ways" and "Smooth." This is, I think, his greatest work.

Let's hope we have a "Green Magic Season," eh? Enjoy the TAN.
