Dee Milliner Out Against Oakland Raiders

Derik Hamilton-USA TODAY Sports

Rex Ryan announced today that Dee Milliner would be out against the Oakland Raiders this weekend. This isn't a surprise, as the cornerback heals from a high ankle sprain. In his place, Darrin Walls and Antonio Allen will be starting, with Kyle Wilson in the slot. Nothing new here, nothing unexpected. Milliner will hopefully be back next week against the Green Bay Packers.

We're fortunate that these two cornerbacks will be facing a rookie and a suspect wide receiving corps. It could be a lot worse. Any of the opponents in the next few weeks would destroy these two, but this week's opponent certainly helps the situation. Ryan has been talking up Walls, saying he's vastly improved than last year, and Allen, saying that his press technique has been very good.

Let's hope... and pray.
