Jets wide receiver Quincy Enunwa was arrested on a domestic violence charge per the New York Post and TMZ.
The 22-year-old rookie Enunwa, who is on Gang Green’s practice squad, was charged with assault, stemming from an incident Sunday night at the Wyndham Hamilton Park Hotel, according to TMZ.
The alleged victim suffered minor injuries and was not taken to the hospital, authorities said.
Enunwa is accused of "grabbing the victim by her ankle and pulling her off a bed causing her to strike and injure both her head and finger," according to charging documents.
Obviously these are very serious allegations. Enunwa is innocent until proven guilty.
The NFL recently changed its policies on discipline for domestic violence cases. It isn't clear how early in the legal process the league will get involved or the protocol for disciplining a practice squad player.
