New York Jets Rex Ryan Is Hopeful Decker Can Face Chicago Bears

We won't know the extent of Deckers injury until the results of a scan are in, however Rex is hopeful he can suit up to face the Bears next week.

Unfortunately we're going to have to wait a little longer before we know the true extent of the Eric Decker injury, however Rex was hopeful that the star wide receiver will recover in time for Monday's game against the Bears:

"We'll see. Hopefully he'll be ready to roll on Monday",

Rex was speaking at his usual Monday news conference this evening and although we won't know if Decker can make it, this at least gives us a little hope that he could be back sooner rather than later.

Decker left the game in the 4th quarter, clutching his right hamstring, the same hamstring that caused him problems throughout training camp. Hopefully it's just a gentle pull that can be rested and nursed back to full health in less than a weeks time.

The Jets do have another day to play with, they don't play again until Monday Night Football where they will face Jay Cutler and his array of wide receiving threats. However we'll be more concerned about our own wide receiver, as without him, our pass offense looked pretty dire.
