We had some shifts on the offensive side of the football yesterday, with a few injuries in to boot as well. So who ended up getting the snaps and who saw their playing time take a hit?
Player | Position | Snaps | Percentage of Plays |
D'Brickashaw Ferguson | OT | 71 | 100% |
Willie Colon | OG | 71 | 100% |
Nick Mangold | C | 71 | 100% |
Breno Giacomini | OT | 71 | 100% |
Geno Smith | QB | 71 | 100% |
Jeff Cumberland | TE | 67 | 94% |
Brian Winters | OG | 67 | 94% |
David Nelson | WR | 61 | 86% |
Jeremy Kerley | WR | 45 | 63% |
Eric Decker | WR | 44 | 62% |
Chris Ivory | RB | 27 | 38% |
Chris Johnson | RB | 27 | 38% |
Jace Amaro | TE | 22 | 31% |
Greg Salas | WR | 21 | 30% |
Bilal Powell | RB | 17 | 24% |
Tommy Bohanon | FB | 13 | 18% |
Zach Zudfeld | TE | 7 | 10% |
Oday Aboushi | OG | 4 | 6% |
Michael Vick | QB | 2 | 3% |
Sheldon Richardson | FB/DT | 1 | 1% |
So we saw Oday get a couple of snaps in for Winters, who had an absolutely terrible game blocking for his QB. I thought we may see Kerley a little more but he actually played less last night than he did against Oakland, although it was very similar. 63% this week in comparison to 64% last week.
With the injury to Decker, Salas saw his playing time increase from 14% of the snaps against Oakland to 30% of the snaps against Green Bay. Vick only saw the field a couple of times, and one of the plays we just completely tipped our hand because the side Vick was on, we weren't throwing, the play was stopped behind the line as we threw away from him.
Johnson and Ivory continue to split time quite evenly but we did see an increase in Powell's time this week, which IMO is a good thing, because he can be extremely dangerous. It looks as though Amaro will see around 30% of the snaps each week as his time didn't fluctuate all that much.
