Shaq Evans Heading to IR?

Rex Ryan indicated wide receiver Shaq Evans could be destined for injured reserve with his shoulder injury.

Evans was one of three fourth round selections the Jets have made. It has reportedly been a rough camp for almost all of the Jets' 2014 picks, but it sounds like Evans was having the toughest time out of anybody. He had reportedly been struggling mightily.

I don't know the extent of his injury, but I get the feeling the Jets might consider stashing him on IR even if he was going to be 100% by tomorrow. At this point it sounds like it was going to be a real uphill battle fighting through a logjam at the receiver position. Injured reserve will allow the Jets to keep his rights and try against next year.
