New York Jets Roster: Scouring the Waiver Wire

Eric Hartline-USA TODAY Sports

SBNation was kind enough to put together a list of all the cuts made by every team following yesterday's cutdown day. Almost all of these players are subject to the waiver wire, after which point they can be added to practice squads. Vested veterans with more than four years of experience are not subject to the waiver wire and become free agents immediately.

Here are a non-exhaustive list of cuts that I believe the New York Jets should take a good, hard look at. Some of these players were cut because they aren't talented enough, and others are being put on practice squads. Still others are good enough to make a regular roster but because of a numbers game are the odd men out:

Yawin Smallwood, LB (Atlanta Falcons)

T.J. Graham, WR (Buffalo Bills)

Tavarres King, WR (Carolina Panthers)

Robert Lester, S (Carolina Panthers)

Dion Lewis, RB (Cleveland Browns)

Leon McFadden, CB (Cleveland Browns)

Zac Dysert, QB (Denver Broncos)

Adrian Hubbard, LB (Green Bay Packers)

Quentin Groves, LB (Houston Texans)

Jeremy Gallon, WR (New England Patriots)

Robert Meachum, WR (New Orleans Saints)

Brandon Coleman, WR (New Orleans Saints)

John Conner, FB (New York Giants)

Kenjon Barner, RB (Philadelphia Eagles)

Ed Reynolds, S (Philadelphia Eagles)

Vincent Brown, WR (San Diego Chargers)

Shayne Skov, LB (San Francisco 49ers)

Eric Winston, OT (Seattle Seahawks)

Phillip Adams, CB (Seattle Seahawks)

Michael Sam, DE (St. Louis Rams)

Lache Seastrunk (Washington Redskins)

Many of these players will return to their team's practice squad, however it is possible the Jets may snag one or two. These are the guys I would be interested in.
