Sometimes a big preseason finale can push a player onto the roster. These three guys had better hope that is the case.
Stephen Hill
Much ink has been spilled documenting Hill's troubles. In the preseason he has continued to look like the same player he was last year and the year before that. Hill's problem isn't a failure to play at an All Pro level. It's that he's failed to show he can even have a limited use. There really isn't much he can do effectively. Maybe a big game will convince the Jets to give him one final chance.
Tajh Boyd
A year ago Matt Simms rode a big preseason finale to a roster spot. Boyd is hoping now to do the same to unseat Simms. Arguably having the inside track for the third quarterback spot when camp opened, Boyd has reportedly looked lost in training camp and was as unimpressive as could be in his lone preseason outing. At this point he might not even get onto the practice squad.
William Campbell
The Jets kept him on the roster through 2013, but the former sixth round pick has been something of a forgotten man. He could use a strong night on film to avoid the practice squad or worse.
