Saalim Hakim: Rex Says Jets Feel Good With Him as Kick Returner

Speaking with the media today, Rex Ryan indicated the team is comfortable rolling with Saalim Hakim as the kickoff returner.

You might remember his brother Az-Zahir Hakim from the Greatest Show on Turf Rams. Hakim has spent time in two other NFL organizations and in the United Football League before that.

He reportedly was clocked in the 4.2 range in the 40 yard dash. Standing only 5'11" and 188 pounds, he profiles as the kind of player who probably will need open field to utilize his physical gifts such as situations in the return game.

Only time will tell how effective he will be. Hakim did have a 32 yard kick return against the Giants on Friday night.
