The New York Jets and New York Giants will meet in the third preseason game on Friday night in what's dubbed as the Snoopy Bowl at MetLife stadium.
The third preseason game is generally the one in which the starters get the most playing time with the fourth and final game being largely a rest day for the first team. How much does the third preseason game really matter? That's up for debate but the Jets starters will see more time on Friday evening against the Giants.
The Jets and Giants are 28-28-1 against each other all-time, including preseason and regular season games. Rex Ryan is 3-3 in his career against the Giants while Tom Coughlin is 6-6 in his career against the Jets. Friday night's game breaks the tie.
