As has been the theme all week, the defense had the better of play in tonight's green and white scrimmage. Below are some notes from some of the writers who witnessed it live.
G&W ends with defense ahead of offense, which was held to 2 FGs. Practice ran 87 mins, was attended by 7,129 at Cortland Stadium.

No TDs in the scrimmage, which has now finished. #Jets

Jets scrimmage is over. Offensive production amounted to two field goals. Was not pretty. Greg Salas looked good though.

Unofficially, we've got: Geno 7-14, 84 yards. Vick 7-13, 47 yards, 35 yards rushing. #nyj

Geno Smith has nearly been picked off twice tonight -- once by Antonio Allen, once by Darrin Walls. Not a great offensive night for Jets.

Greg Salas with 3 catches in 2nd half has 5 for 54 yds to lead all receivers in Green&White so far.

Stephen Hill also recorded a 41 yard reception, which you can see here. The catch was a bit of good news-bad news. It was a big play, but he also didn't high point the ball, the kind of issue that has and will continue to prevent him from being an impact guy unless it gets corrected.
All in all, it sounds like more defensive domination.
