Former New York Jets wide receiver Santonio Holmes has signed a contract with the Chicago Bears, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports.

In 10 games with the Jets during the 2013-2014 season, Holmes caught only 23 passes for a total of 456 yards (19.8 yards per reception) and a lone touchdown. The former Jet wideout had quietly been available on the free agent market since March 10th, when New York decided to move on from his contract—among other things—and released him.
Santonio provided some exciting moments early in his Jets career, including a myriad of late-game touchdowns, most memorably against the Houston Texans, Cleveland Browns and Buffalo Bills, as well as a Super Bowl-esque catch in the corner of the end zone against the New England Patriots in a 2010-2011 Divisional Round playoff game in Foxborough.
Holmes and the Bears will travel to MetLife Stadium in Week 3 this season to battle the Jets on ESPN's Monday Night Football.
