Rex Ryan announced that Geno Smith will start for the Jets against the Bengals.

This is consistent with everything that has happened in training camp to this point. The Jets have been proceeding to have Geno as the starter but hedging their bets in case of catastrophe by getting Vick some first team work. Vick got a series with the first team offense in the preseason opener.
In this game, the first thing I'd like to see from Geno is for him to take better care of the football. We don't need any more of those cross field moon passes when a defender has his legs. Aside from that, good decision making and mechanics are things to watch as we get closer to the start of the real season.
