The Jets took their practice to the goal line today. The defense came out on top as has been the style recently.
Defense looking VERY tough in goal line drills. #Jets

On 10 plays Defense stops offense 8 times during goaline period. Don't know whether to laugh or cry. #jets

I probably could have guessed what the outcome would be. The Jets were one of the best teams in the league last year in short yardage situations on defense and have a ton of talent up front. Those situations play right into the wheelhouse of the unit.
One of the themes of the week has been the defense asserting itself against the offense. It seems the trend continued today, at least in the red zone. It's really premature to be worried about the offense, though. It's called training camp for a reason.
