It isn't necessarily a big surprise there would be some first day struggles. These guys are shaking off the rust. One would be well-advised to not put too much stock into what happens early.
Evans probably is going to have to impress in camp. Normally a fourth round pick would be a virtual lock for a roster spot. This might be an exception. While the quality is up for debate, the Jets have a large quantity of players competing at wide receiver. A rough camp might lead to The Big Aristotle's release if a few of the competitors show promise.
