Chris Johnson has been given the green light for football activities. The running back is recovering from a knee injury.
Chris Johnson (knee) said he was cleared by Dr. James Andrews and is ready for full practice, if that's what team decides." #nyj

The Jets might be wise to limit what Johnson does. That pertains more to preseason and early games than camp, but he is an aging back who has started to show signs of the wear and tear the last few years.
I think he is a prime candidate to get off to a quick start. He has the change of scenery thing going and is desperate to show what he can do coming off a relatively down year. I get flashbacks to four years ago with LaDainian Tomlinson and how the Jets rode him early when he was hot. He wore down near the end of the year and was significantly less effective. Keeping him fresh should be a priority. The Jets are going to need him all season.
