It's just one Organized Team Activity (OTA), so try to avoid taking too much from it, but here are some notes from what happened that were of particular note. For reference, there are ten OTAs in the offseason and the media are allowed at three of them.
-Geno Smith reportedly looked significantly better than Mike Vick, who struggled all day. Vick reportedly told Rex Ryan afterwards that the defensive coverages were confusing, which isn't a surprise since it's a good defense and he's just getting started with them.
-Jace Amaro had a few drops today, but this is the only time I've heard of such a problem so far. At this point, it doesn't sound like it's anything to worry about.
-Eric Decker missed today's session with the team's blessing, as he's with his wife presenting for the Country Music Awards.
-Undrafted fullback Chad Young supposedly had decent hands and looked better than Tommy Bohanon.
-Ras-I Dowling was playing opposite Dimitri Patterson as the starting cornerback with Dee Milliner sitting out as a precautionary measure from a tight hamstring.
-Calvin Pryor and Antonio Allen were today's starting safeties, with Dawan Landry backing them up.
